RDW wants to be supportive in this situation and jointly indicate questions and options in the field of ITS. The goal of using ITS is enhancing driving comfort and safety as well as managing traffic flows. On a temporary basis, vehicle manufacturers, research institutes, research universities and universities of applied sciences can gain practical experience on public roads using intelligent transport systems. In the future, this might lead to self-driving vehicles that can partly or completely take over the driving task of the driver.
