A key asset in the approach is to involve different stakeholders from sciences, industries and governments. Metropolitan Region Rotterdam The Hague (MRDH) and the Dutch National Infrastructure Authority (Rijkswaterstaat) have been on board since funding by the Creative Industries Fund marked the start of “The self-driving city” in 2015. Many more are joining.
This workshop is an open dialogue between speakers and the public based on four scenarios from the level of ‘car’ sharing and the level of automation of the traffic. How will these scenarios influence the city of the future and how can we adopt these in urban design? The audience and speakers explore future proof solutions in an interactive session.
